Spokespeople - Paul McKinlay

Paul McKinlay is Vice President and Head of US Originations at CIBC Innovation Banking. He leads the US markets operation for CIBC Innovation Banking, with a team of 35 bankers across 10 offices as well as the Fund Finance team.

Under Paul’s direction, CIBC Innovation Banking partners with technology entrepreneurs, CFOs, VCs and Growth Equity investors across the US, providing financing solutions and banking services to meet their growth needs at every stage of a company’s life cycle.

Prior to CIBC Innovation Banking, Paul was Vice President at Wellington Financial LP (acquired by CIBC), a Toronto based, privately-held growth and venture debt fund investing in VC and Growth Equity backed software companies. Paul opened Wellington Financial’s Menlo Park office and was responsible for sourcing and originating mid/late stage investments.

Paul started his career at Fidelity Investments. He is CFA and CAIA charterholder and holds a degree in Business and Finance from Toronto Metropolitan University.
